In line with our global development we embrace the fact that we live in a multicultural society and that our employees are representative of this. Across our sites over 40 different languages are spoken by people of different nationalities from all over the world. We are proud of our diverse workforce and assist our people to integrate into the Group wherever we can.

We provide training in different languages, including Tamil, Polish and Portuguese and we offer English training to both native and non-native speakers, which benefits our employees in their everyday lives. In addition, at a number of our sites, we offer diversity training courses where employees learn about and gain further understanding of different cultures, habits and beliefs.

In 2007 we developed a cultural database with a number of food industry suppliers to help us understand the differences between cultures and manage diversity in a positive way. This database pools together information on different cultures and enables our business to proactively manage their diversity. The database currently has 26 countries and includes information on languages, religion, working practices, holidays and physical issues.
