The health and safety of our employees is of vital importance and our aim is to provide a secure working environment.

Our Group Technical Manager, who sits on Bakkavör Group’s Management Board, is responsible for Health and Safety management.   It is the Director’s duty to report monthly on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that have been set at Management Board level which monitor performance at each of our factory sites.

We strive constantly towards the goal of minimising the risk of accidents by providing our employees with extensive Health and Safety training and by appointing Health and Safety representatives. Health and Safety training is provided to all employees who are factory-based as part of their induction process and, at each local site, the executive management team has a Health and Safety representative who is responsible for reporting to the team and putting into action the site-specific Health and Safety plans.
