The majority of the Group’s sales are generated in the UK – around 90% in 2007 – and are mainly to the major UK food retailers. The other sales are from our Continental European sites in France, Spain, Italy and Belgium, where we serve the Dutch, French and Spanish retail and foodservice markets amongst others. Since 2007 Bakkavör Group also has operations in the Czech Republic, which serves the surrounding areas. Further to that we also have an operation in South Africa which supplies the UK market, along with operations in China, Hong Kong and recently the United States.
